Fabrication of plate works, especially for power boilers, had started to grow from 1997 with MHI’s local 100 MW x 2 vertical HRSGs and 700 MW x 2 heavy oil / gas fired boilers.

         Export of plate work for boilers started in 1998 when Babcock & Wilcox decided to order casing and duct work for their 28 MW x 4 boilers in Batu Hijau, Indonesia, followed by orders of 350 MW x 2 oil fired boilers and 425 MW x 2 coal fired boilers for Sidi Krir and Millmerran in Egypt and Australia respectively.

         Manufacturing of internal insulated duct, casing and stack for HRSG are the successful works that VIPCO had provided to major world leading boiler manufacturers since 1994. VIPCO started exporting their products to Taiwan by delivering a CO-oxidizer of more than 6m. in diameter and related ducts to Formosa Petrochemical Project under P.O. released from SFL / De Jong Coen.

         Within three years of 1997, more than 30 units of HRSGs’ inlet duct, casing, stack, and platform ordered by world class boiler manufacturers like Vogt-Nem, Aalborg Industries, and Alstom Power were maufactured for both local and overseas projects in the USA, Africa, Australia, and Brazil.

          In year 2003, VIPCO supplied 4 S SCR duct modoles in full size assembled at Deep Sea Port rental area for export to USA, Chesterfield Project, VA. with height more than 12 m. and fully installed with insulation and lagging, site erection cost in USA. can be minimized significantly.
           Later in year 2004, Babcock & Wilcox Service Company awarded VIPCO again for the similar work but much more bigger modules.  This Campbell Project required 79 modules and some modules weight not less than 100 MT.
